Red Cross isolation facilities in NCR now open — Dizon
The isolation facilities established by the Philippine Red Cross (PCR) in various universities in Metro Manila are now operational, testing czar Vince Dizon said Thursday.
“Ang isolation facility sa UP Diliman, sa Ateneo de Manila sa Quezon City, at sa Dela Salle University sa Maynila ay bukas na at magtatayo pa po ng marami pang isolation facility sa iba’t ibang pribado at pang publikong eskwelahan,” Dizon said in a live briefing.
(The isolation facilities in UP Diliman, in Ateneo de Manila in Quezon City, and in Dela Salle University in Maynila are now open and more isolation facilities will be opened in private and public schools.)
Latest data from the Department of Health (DOH) showed that 80% of the intensive care units bends in the National Capital Region are in use while 61% of the mechanical ventilators are occupied.
Dizon said more tent facilities will also be established in government hospitals.
“Magbubukas na rin po ang tent facility ng Red Cross sa Lung Center of the Philippines, sa National Kidney Institute, at pati na rin po sa ibang ospital sa Metro Manila, both tertiary hospitals ng DOH at mga LGU hospitals,” he said.
