House elects Velasco as caretaker of 2nd district of Antipolo

The House of Representatives on Wednesday elected Speaker Lord Allan Velasco as the caretaker of the 2nd district of Antipolo. 

The Congresswoman for the district, Representative Resurreccion Acop, passed away last week from COVID-19 complications.

A resolution was adopted by the chamber on Monday honoring Acop's invaluable contribution and accomplishments in the 18th Congress.

According to the lawmaker's husband, former lawmaker Romeo Acop, they were diagnosed with the virus in April. — BM, GMA News
