DILG sees no violation in Muhlach family vaccination
The Department of the Interior and Local Government said Friday that no violation has been committed in the vaccination of Aga Muhlach, Charlene Gonzales, and their two children.
In a statement, DILG spokesperson Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya said the Muntinlupa City government clarified that the celebrity family qualified to be vaccinated based on protocols.
“Documents regarding their vaccination were also submitted to the DILG. Therefore, the Department sees no violation of DOH or IATF’s regulations in the aforementioned vaccination,” Malaya said.
Citing the city government records, the DILG said the Muhlach family are bona-fide residents of Muntinlupa and enrolled at the MUNCOVAC registration portal under A3 category.
“Most importantly, they submitted medical certificates/clearance from their attending physician at Asian Hospital and Medical Center to prove that they have comorbidities,” Malaya said.
“The medical certificate was verified by the Muntinlupa City Health Office with the said hospital” he added.
Malaya made the statement in response to questions on the prioritization of the celebrity family in vaccination efforts against COVID-19. —LBG, GMA News
