Israeli medical experts visit COVID-19 vaccination site in Parañaque

A team of Israeli medical experts monitoring the country’s immunization campaign on Wednesday visited a COVID-19 vaccination site in Parañaque City.

The experts were accompanied by several government officials such as vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. and presidential spokesperson Harry Roque during their tour of the Solaire vaccination hub.

"We need to learn from Israel because Israel successfully achieved containment [of the coronavirus]. We want to learn what they did to achieve containment,” Roque told reporters.

"Tomorrow we will have a dedicated press conference for the Israeli visitors."

Israel dropped its outdoors face mask policy last April 18, after it vaccinated most of its population using American drugmaker's Pfizer vaccine.

The Israeli experts, who arrived in the Philippines on Sunday, will stay until Friday. —Virgil Lopez/KBK, GMA News
