People pay respects to ex-President Noynoy Aquino at Manila Memorial Park
Some Filipinos went to Manila Memorial Park in Sucat, Parañaque City on Sunday to pay their respects to former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III.
As soon as the memorial park opened its gates at 7 a.m., people came in and headed for Aquino's tomb, according to a report by Mao dela Cruz on Dobol B TV.
Many brought yellow flowers such as sunflowers, since yellow is the color associated with the Aquino family.
Some also lit candles while a woman offered a mass card.
People would pray and take photos in front of the former President's tomb which is right beside those of his parents, former Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. and former President Corazon Aquino.
Police were in the area on Sunday to ensure peace and order.
Noynoy Aquino was laid to rest on Saturday afternoon, two days after he passed away due to renal disease secondary to diabetes. —KG, GMA News
