CA confirms promotions of 24 AFP officers

The bicameral Commission on Appointments (CA) on Wednesday confirmed the promotions of 24 senior military officers.

This came after the CA committee on national defense swiftly approved the nominations and ad interim appointments of the following officers:

Nomination:

• Caesar Bernard N. Valencia to the rank of rear admiral
• Santiago I. Enginco to the rank of brigadier general
• Fernando V. Felipe to the major general
• Irineo F. Sebastian to the rank of brigadier general
• Rommel Anthony SD Reyes to the rank of rear admiral

Ad interim appointments:

• Lorelie R. Suarez to the rank of colonel, Philippine Army (Reserve)
• Leah L. Santiago to the rank of colonel, Philippine Army
• Nolito A. Quemi to the rank of colonel, Philippine Army (Reserve)
• Oliver P. Casuncad to the rank of colonel, Philippine Air Force
• Victor R. Del Fierro Jr. to the rank of colonel, Philippine Army
• Jim P. Razo to the rank of captain, Philippine Navy
• Arnold C. Fortin to the rank of captain, Philippine Navy
