Ex-VP Noli de Castro to run for senator in Eleksyon 2022, joins Mayor Isko's party

Former vice president Noli de Castro on Thursday took his oath as a member of the Aksyon Demokratiko party.

De Castro took his oath before Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, the party's president and standard bearer, and Ernest Ramel, party chairperson, at the Bulwagan in Manila City Hall.

A post on Moreno's Facebook page said De Castro, 72, will run for senator in the 2022 elections.

“Former Vice President and broadcaster Noli de Castro has joined Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso’s Aksyon Demokratiko party,” the post said.

“The 72-year-old broadcaster, who announced his departure from ABS-CBN this morning, is set to run in next year’s senatorial race,” it added. —Joviland Rita/KBK, GMA News
