Over 45,500 violators recorded in NCR amid Alert Level 3 —PNP


A total of 45,592 quarantine violators have been recorded in the National Capital Region (NCR) five days since the implementation of Alert Level 3, data from the Philippine National Police (PNP) showed Thursday.

Based on the data as of Wednesday, there were 8,834 newly reported violators, with daily average pegged at 9,118, according to the PNP.

Around 56% of the violators were warned, 36% were fined, while 8% faced other sanctions.

A total of 33,371 violators or 6,707 daily have violated the minimum public health standards in NCR amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

For curfew, a total of 11,903 violators or 2,381 daily were recorded in Metro Manila.

A total of 318 who are not considered authorized persons outside residence (APORs) were also caught outdoors.

Under Alert Level 3, several establishments will be allowed to operate at 30% indoor venue capacity only for fully vaccinated individuals and 50% outdoor venue capacity, provided that all employees are fully vaccinated.

Curfew in Metro Manila has been shortened to 12 midnight to 4 a.m. starting October 13.

Alert Level 3 came into effect in Metro Manila on October 16 and will run until October 31, unless earlier lifted or extended by the government.  —Joviland Rita/KBK, GMA News
