Manila Cathedral to bless cremated remains during Sunday Mass until Nov. 14, 2021
Families can bring the cremated remains of their loved ones for blessings during the Sunday Masses until November 14, the Manila Cathedral announced.
In a Facebook post, the Manila Cathedral said it will hold the rite of blessing of cremated remains every Sunday starting October 24 until November 14.
“The family may bring the urn and a picture of their beloved dead, and we will celebrate a worthy liturgical blessing for them,” the church wrote in the post.
“Let this loving action of the Church make our houses of worship welcome places of prayer and consolation specially for families who lost a loved one in this time of pandemic,” it added.
The Manila Cathedral has three scheduled Masses every Sunday at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., and 6 p.m.
It added that all Masses are live streamed online through the church’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel.
