Philippines receives 2.7M doses of Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine


Around 2.7 million doses of Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccines arrived in the Philippines on Tuesday afternoon.

The new supply of vaccines arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport – Terminal 2 via flight PR8623 at around 3 p.m.

According to the NTF, present during the arrival were Russian Ambassador to the Philippines Marat Pavlov, Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process chief of staff Assistant Secretary Wilben Mayor, NTF special adviser Dr. Teodoro Herbosa, and Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary Jaime Ledda, among others.

The shipment consists of 1,350,000 doses of Sputnik V's Component I vaccine and 1,350,000 of Component II. — Joviland Rita/BM, GMA News
