Lorenzana's confirmatory COVID-19 test comes back negative

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana on Friday disclosed that his confirmatory COVID-19 test yielded a negative result.

“My RT PCR yesterday came out negative. But according to [Health Secretary Francisc Duque III], I continue home quarantine until 23 [November],” Lorenzana told reporters.

On Wednesday, the Defense secretary announced that he has tested positive anew for the virus.

His announcement caused the Senate to suspend plenary debates on the P5-trillion national budget for 2022.

Lorenzana was in the Senate last Tuesday as the senators tackled the budget of the Department of National Defense. -NB, GMA News
