PNP COVID-19 cases reach 42,197
The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday said seven new COVID-19 cases were recorded among its personnel, driving up the total tally to 42,197.
Of this number, 62 are active cases, data from the PNP Health Service showed.
Total recoveries went up to 42,010 after five cases recovered.
The death toll meanwhile remained at 125.
The Department of Health on Sunday reported 838 new COVID-19 infections, raising the country's total tally to 2,831,807.
The new cases brought the country's active case count to 16,630, of which 47.8% are mild, 7.1% are symptomatic, 15.2% are severe, and 6.5% are in critical condition.
Total recoveries increased to 2,766,816 after 1,217 more patients defeated the viral disease.
The death toll rose to 48,361 with 156 new fatalities. —KG, GMA News
