PNP COVID-19 cases climb to 42,210

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Sunday said the number of COVID-19 cases among its personnel went up to 42,210 after two new infections were recorded.

Active COVID-19 cases numbered 35, according to data from the PNP Health Service.

Recoveries meanwhile stood at 42,050 after four cases recovered.

The death toll on the other hand remained at 125.

The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday reported 517 new COVID-19 cases bringing the nationwide tally to 2,834,294.

The DOH said active infections stood at 14,338.

Total recoveries climbed by 1,139 to 2,770,726, while 243 new fatalities pushed the death toll to 49,230. —KG, GMA News
