CA OKs appointments of Westmincom, Viscom chiefs, 19 other AFP officers
The Commission on Appointments (CA) on Wednesday swiftly confirmed the appointments of the new commanders of the Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom) and Visayas Command (Viscom) as well as the 19 officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
This came after the CA committee on national defense endorsed to the plenary the ad interim appointments of the 21 senior AFP officials, including Alfredo Rosario Jr. and Robert Dauz to the rank of Lieutenant General.
In September, President Rodrigo Duterte named Rosario as the new chief of Westmincom and Dauz as the new commander of Viscom.
The CA also approved the appointments of the following officers:
-Gerardo Catindoy to the rank of Major General
-Armand Arevalo to the rank of Brigadier General
-Yegor Rey Barroquillo Jr. to the rank of Brigadier General
-Arvin Lagamon to the rank of Brigadier General
-Nolasco Mempin to the rank of Brigadier General
-Eduardo Gubat to the rank of Brigadier General
-Florante Baterina to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Air Force
-Angel Cueno to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Air Force
-Philip Fagel to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Army
-Warren Munda to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Army
-Clairemont Pinpin to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Army
-Alvin Aspiras to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Army
-Alex Gagula to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Army
-Montano Almodovar to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Army
-Rosalino Estorquia to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Army
-William Victoriano Upano to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Army
-Marcus Jason Bartolome to the rank of Captain, Philippine Navy
-Eileen Domine to the rank of Captain, Philippine Navy
