SC suspends work in all first, second level courts on Dec. 24 and 31, 2021

The Supreme Court on Wednesday announced that work in all first and second level courts and offices is suspended on December 24, Friday and December 31, Friday.

In a circular, the high court said this is for the disinfection and sanitation of court buildings and offices amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, December 23, Thursday, is declared as “no transaction” day in all trial courts and offices.

“Should there be pleadings or court submissions due on said date, the deadline for the same is extended up to the next working day, which is 27 December 2021,” the SC said.

The SC also directed all presiding judges to ensure that disinfection procedures are carried out. —Joahna Lei Casilao/KBK, GMA News
