Cayetano tops Pulse Asia senatorial survey
Former House Speaker and Taguig Representative Alan Peter Cayetano ranked number one in Pulse Asia's Ulat ng Bayan survey for senatorial aspirants in Eleksyon 2022.
The survey, conducted from December 1 to 6 and the first one to be done since the period for filing candidacy lapsed, showed Cayetano with 64.1% rating, slightly ahead of broadcaster Raffy Tulfo who settled for second place with 60%.
Rounding up the Top 12 were:
Loren Legarda (58.7%)
Francis "Chiz" Escudero (53.9%)
Mark Villar (51.3%)
Juan Miguel Zubiri (49.4%)
Jejomar Binay (44.7%)
Joel Villanueva (41.6%)
Win Gatchalian (40.1%)
Rodrigo Duterte (35.8%)
Robin Padilla (35.6%) and
Risa Hontiveros (35.5%)
Not too far behind are brothers, Jinggoy Estrada and Joseph Victor Ejercito, who scored 34.4% and 32.1%, respectively.
Duterte earlier dropped his bid for a Senate seat.
The survey was conducted on 2,400 individuals aged 18 years old and above and has a ± 2% error margin at the 95% confidence level.
Subnational estimates for each of the geographic areas covered in the survey (i.e., Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao), on the other hand, have a ± 4% error margin also at 95% confidence level.—LDF, GMA News
