DOT’s Puyat on quarantine after getting exposed to COVID-positive individual
Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat on Thursday said she is presently in isolation after she was exposed to an individual infected with COVID-19.
"I am currently in isolation following a recent exposure to a COVID-positive individual," Romulo-Puyat said in a social media post.
She said she would have herself tested for COVID-19 on Friday.
Romulo-Puyat said she is fully vaccinated against the deadly virus and she already got her booster shot.
"I will continue to work from home for the meantime until I get my medical clearance on the 10th day from first exposure," she said.
The Tourism chief urged the public to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and to avail of the booster jabs as well. She also called on everyone to follow the minimum health standards against the pandemic.
