Agriculture chief Dar tests positive for COVID-19

Agriculture Secretary William Dar on Friday said he has tested positive for COVID-19.
I wish to inform the public that I tested positive for COVID with mild symptoms, and currently recovering while in quarantine. I will continue to discharge my duties and responsibilities in the Department of Agriculture.

In a Twitter post, Dar said he has mild symptoms and is currently recovering while in quarantine.
“I will continue to discharge my duties and responsibilities in the Department of Agriculture,” he said.
On Friday, the Philippines reported 21,819 new COVID-19 cases bringing the nationwide tally to 2,910,664. This is the highest since September 12, when 21,411 cases. —LDF, GMA News
