Pampanga Rep. Mikey Arroyo tests positive for COVID-19

Pampanga 2nd District Representative Juan Miguel “Mikey” Arroyo on Monday said  he has tested positive for coronavirus.

“Did antigen test [at] 7 a.m. today and I am [positive] for [COVID-19]. I’m [asymptomatic] for now and have gotten in touch with a doctor to take care of me,” Arroyo said in a Facebook post.

Arroyo said he was advised to undergo home isolation in Pampanga and take anti-COVID-19 drug molnupiravir.

“The advice for now is to isolate at home and take Molnupiravir and vitamins… Thank you, Lord that I… am fully inoculated plus [I already got] a booster shot,” he said.

On Sunday, the Philippines logged 28,707 new COVID-19 infections, a record-high since the pandemic started in 2020. — Hana Bordey/RSJ, GMA News
