SC announces physical closure of courts in several areas until Jan. 31

The Supreme Court on Friday announced the physical closure of courts in several areas in the country from January 21 to 31 amid the spike in COVID-19 cases.

According to a circular issued by the Office of the Court Administrator, the courts in the following areas are closed:

Cordillera Administrative Region: Apayao
Region IV-B: Puerto Princesa City
Region V: Masbate
Region VII: Siquijor
Region IX: Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay
Region X: Lanao del Norte
Region XI: Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental
Region XII: North Cotabato, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat
Caraga: Surigao del Norte
BARMM: Maguindanao, Basilan
