Robredo: I will be a President who inspires people to work with me

Vice President Leni Robredo said Saturday she is fit to be the next president because Filipinos need a leader who can inspire them to work  for and find solutions to the country’s problems.

“Sa akin kasi 'yong solusyon ng lahat na problema ng ating bansa hindi siya nakasalalay sa isang tao. Pero nakasalalay siya sa lahat ng Pilipino. At ang tingin ko 'yong dapat na maging susunod na pangulo 'yung pangulo na merong capacity and ability to inspire. To inspire other Filipinos, to own the problem,” Robredo said during The Jessica Soho Presidential Interviews.

(The solution to our problems is not dependent on one person alone. It depends on all of us. The next president should be a president who has the capacity and ability to inspire.)

“[The next president should be able] to inspire 'yong lahat ng mga Pilipino na tumulong, maging bahagi ng solusyon. As Vice President, ito 'yong aking na-achieve. I was able to inspire so many para mag collaborate. Kaya marami kaming nagagawa sa office of the Vice President, because we have inspired confidence. That is what I can contribute as the president,” she added.

(The next president should be able to inspire people to be a part of the solution. And I have achieved this as Vice President. I was able to inspire many to collaborate, and that is why the Office of the Vice President accomplished a lot of things, because we have inspired confidence.)

Robredo earlier said that she will prioritize job creation and strengthening the health and education sector if she is elected president. — RSJ, GMA News
