PNP COVID-19 active cases now at 1,862 with 139 new infections
The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday reported 139 more personnel who tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total active cases in the organization to 1,862.
According to the PNP data, a total of 47,897 personnel have tested positive for the disease since the pandemic. Of which, 45,909 have already recovered.
The deaths among PNP personnel due to COVID-19 remained at 126.
Meanwhile, a total of 218,102 (96.85%) of its personnel are already fully vaccinated against COVID-19; 6,150 (2.73%) are still awaiting their second dose; and 82,524 (37.84%) have received booster shots.
The PNP said 943 (0.42%) personnel have yet to be vaccinated.
On Thursday, the Department of Health (DOH) reported 18,191 new COVID-19 infections bringing the country’s COVID-19 tally to 3,493,447. A total of 226,521 are still active cases.
With 74 new fatalities, the death toll due to the disease in the country rose to 53,736.—Joviland Rita/AOL, GMA News
