52 more PNP personnel positive for COVID-19; total cases now 48,402
The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday reported 52 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total infections in the organization to 48,402.
Based on the PNP Health Service data, a total of 1,355 COVID-19 cases are active.
Recoveries totaled 46,920 after 186 cases got well.
The death toll in PNP remained at 127.
Meanwhile, a total of 218,555 (97.05%) of PNP personnel are already fully vaccinated against COVID-19; 5,752 (2.55%) are still awaiting their second dose; and 90,455 (41.39%) have received booster shots.
The PNP said 895 (0.40%) personnel have yet to be vaccinated.
On Tuesday, the Philippines reported 9,493 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the country's caseload to 3,569,665. Of which, 176,053 are still active cases.
With 51 new fatalities, the death toll in the country due to the disease rose to 54,054. —Joviland Rita/KG, GMA News
