CA approves Acosta's nomination as CSC commissioner

The Commission on Appointments (CA) on Wednesday approved the nomination of Ryan Alvin Acosta as a commissioner of the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

Acosta’s term is set to expire on February 2, 2027.

During the deliberation, Acosta presented his plans to strengthen the CSC including establishing creative ways to speed up the resolution of cases in the agency.

"The pandemic has shown us we have to really come up with creative ways to ensure that government operation never stops,” he said.

Acosta has served as deputy executive secretary for legal affairs in the Office of the President since 2016. —KG, GMA News
