PNP COVID-19 tally now at 48,447 with 56 new cases


The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday reported 56 new COVID-19 cases, which brought the total infections in the police organization to 48,447.

Based on the PNP data, a total of 47,195 have already recovered from the disease, while 1,125 are still active cases.

On the other hand, the death toll due to COVID-19 among PNP personnel remained at 127.

Meanwhile, a total of 218,741 (97.13%) of PNP personnel are already fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Of the number, 5,572 (2.47%) are still awaiting their second dose; and 92,046 (42.08%) have received booster shots.

The PNP said 889 (0.40%) personnel have yet to be vaccinated.

On Wednesday, the Philippines reported 7,661 more COVID-19 cases, pushing the total caseload to 3,577,298, of which, 160,297 are active cases.

With 43 new fatalities, the country’s death toll rose to 54,097. —LBG, GMA News
