Gov't aims to inoculate 6M on 'Bayanihan, Bakunahan' Part III

The national government is seeking to inoculate up to 6 million people, including minors, on its third COVID-19 "Bayanihan, Bakunahan" campaign, vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said Monday.

During Talk to the People, Galvez said the vaccination will cover all those aged 12 years old and above from February 10 to 11, 2022.

Galvez said they plan to administer primary dose to 2 million individuals and booster dose to 4 million individuals.

"We will recommend na we have to push for the administration of boosters to provide additional protection kasi po darating po ang araw na after 3 months or 6 months may waning effect po ang ating vaccine," said Galvez.

According to the National COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard, 59.8 million individuals received complete doses of COVID-19 vaccines while more than 8 million people received booster doses.

Earlier, the government announced that the target was 5 million individuals. But for the whole month of February, the government aims to vaccinate about 25 million individuals, including those who will be taking their booster shots. -- BAP, GMA News
