Marcoleta says debates not a measure of leadership, Jinggoy claims no colors in a Marcos admin
A candidate's performance in debates is not a standard by which to measure a leader, senatorial aspirant and SAGIP party-list Representative Rodante Marcoleta said on Monday.
In a campaign rally of the Uniteam ticket of Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Davao Mayor Sara Duterte, Marcoleta made the remark after the Marcos camp said that he would not attend the debate which will organized by CNN Philippines.
Marcos’ spokesman Attorney Vic Rodriguez said the candidate would attend the debate put together by the SMNI network.
Rodriguez earlier said that Marcos would not join debates designed to promote conflict among candidates.
Former Senator Jinggoy Estrada, who is also part of the senatorial slate under the Marcos-Duterte tandem, said there would be no political colors under a Marcos administration.
Estrada stressed that the BBM-Sara UniTeam is pushing for unity in the country.
Kulay pink? Pft… mayroon pa bang ibang kulay? Ah dilaw? Lalong wala na ‘yun,” he added.
Color pink is the campaign color of presidential aspirant and Vice President Leni Robredo while yellow is known to represent the Liberal Party-led opposition. —NB, GMA News
