Kiko unfazed by groups backing Leni-Sara
Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan, the running mate of presidential aspirant and Vice President Leni Robredo, said he was not bothered by some groups' support of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte to be Robredo's VP in Eleksyon 2022.
“Ganyan talaga, hindi mo naman pwede pilitin ang ating mga kababayan kung talaga yun ang gusto nila no, so as far as Vice President Leni and I are concerned ang ating tinutulak ay ang Leni-Kiko,” Pangilinan said, according to Jasmin Gabriel-Galban of GMA Regional TV Balitang Amianan and James Paolo Yap of GMA Regional TV One Mindanao's report on 24 Oras.
(You can't force our compatriots if that's who they really want, but as far as Vice President Leni and I are concerned, what we are pushing is Leni-Kiko.)
The report said that some people in Mindanao are supporting a Robredo-Duterte tandem, as well as Albay Representative Joey Salceda, who said that they are in sync in terms of pushing for economic development.
Months before the elections, Robredo and Pangilinan have been campaigning separately to reach more Filipinos.
On Tuesday Pangilinan went to Tarlac with his wife Sharon Cuneta, and visited the farmers and students at Tarlac State University.
Robredo, on the other hand, attended the multi-sectoral rally in Iligan City in Mindanao.
