Balita to push for the addition of agriculture in STEM if elected

TABUK, Kalinga – Aksyon Demokratiko senatorial bet Carl Balita on Saturday said he would push for the addition of agriculture to the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) courses if elected.

Balita said that science, technology, engineering, and mathematics were linked to agriculture.

“Bilang nagiisang guro sa kampanyang ito sa lahat ng nga tumatakbong senador, ako po ay nanganagarap na singitan ng letter A ang STEM para siya maging STEAM,” Balita said during a townhall meeting.

(As the sole teacher in this campaign that is running for senator, I am hoping to add the letter A to STEM so it will become STEAM.)

“At ang letter A na ‘yan ay agrikultura (the letter A stands for agriculture),” he added.

Balita said the addition of agriculture would solve the lack of agricultural technology and science courses.

“Kung ‘yan po ay gusto niyo, itatayo ko po ‘yan (if that’s what you want, I wil push for it),” he said. — DVM, GMA News
