Duterte names Andanar as acting Palace spox

President Rodrigo Duterte has designated Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar as acting presidential spokesperson, replacing Karlo Nograles.

Andanar's appointment was stated in an advisory from Malacañang issued Tuesday morning.

The announcement of Andanar's appointment as acting presidential spokesperson came a day after Nograles was appointed and took oath as chairperson of the Civil Service Commission before President Duterte.

Andarar will hold his first Palace briefing as interim spokesperson Tuesday with Undersecretary Rosemarie Edillon of the National Economic and Development Authority. — Llanesca T. Panti/RSJ, GMA News
