Petro Gazz to hike fuel prices on March 17, 2022

Fuel company Petro Gazz announced on Wednesday that it will increase fuel prices starting Thursday, March 17, 2022.

In an advisory, Petro Gazz said diesel prices will increase by P6.65 per liter.

Meanwhile, gasoline prices may go up by P3.60 per liter.

Oil firms implemented a major price hike on Tuesday, marking the 11th straight week of increases with domestic pump prices already hitting P84.55 per liter in select areas across the country.

Prices have jumped in the past 10 weeks, and have only been on an upward movement so far this year.

However, the Independent Philippine Petroleum Companies Association (IPPCA) on Wednesday said prices of petroleum products are likely to go down next week.

IPPCA chairman emeritus Dr. Fernando Martinez said as of Wednesday, the rollback is seen to be from P2 to P3 per liter. He said this estimate could change by Friday.—LDF, GMA News
