DOH reports 411 new COVID-19 cases; active tally at 44K
The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday reported 411 new COVID-19 infections, while the country's active case count stood at 44,149.
This brings the nationwide COVID-19 tally to 3,676,230, according to the DOH’s latest data posted on its website.
The DOH said a total of 3,573,250 patients recovered from the viral disease.
Meanwhile, the Philippines’ death toll rose to 58,831.
Data also showed that 24.64% of the intensive care unit (ICU) beds for COVID-19 patients nationwide were in use.
At least 22.04% of the country’s isolation beds were utilized, while 13.66% of the nationwide ward beds were in use.
According to Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, 72.81% of the target population had been vaccinated as of March 24.
A total of 736,143 children are fully vaccinated, while at least 1.8 million children have received their first dose.
Vergeire said that almost 8.9 million adolescents are now fully vaccinated, while 9.87 million have received their first dose. — VBL, GMA News
