Philippines gets additional 936K doses of reformulated Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine


The Philippines on Wednesday received an additional 936,000 doses of reformulated Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

The latest batch of government procured through the World Bank arrived in the country past 8 p.m. The vaccine doses are for 5 to 11-year old patients.

Prior to this arrival, the country on Saturday also welcomed 1.2 million doses of the reformulated Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine also for children aged 5 to 11.

The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Monday that more than 65.6 million individuals or 72.93% of the government’s target population are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Meanwhile, 11.8 million have received their booster shots after reaching the three to six-month requirement.
