Isko still has support of 99% IM Pilipinas members, says official

An official of volunteer group Ikaw Muna (IM) Pilipinas on Tuesday insisted the majority of their members remain supportive of the presidential candidacy of Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso even after a faction of the group defected to the camp of Vice President Leni Robredo.

“Parang lumabas ay para bang IM Pilipinas is transferring. No, we’re not. We’re still going strong as our members continue to grow in all regions of the country. 98 to 99 percent of our members are staying with Yorme Isko Moreno,” IM Pilipinas acting secretary-general Phillip Piccio said in Jun Veneracion’s report on "24 Oras."

Led by former undersecretary Tim Orbos, a chapter of IM Pilipinas endorsed the candidacy of Robredo on Tuesday.

Moreno, however, downplayed the move and said it will not affect him.

“Alam mo sa dami ng hirap na dinanas ko sa buhay itong mga taong ito wala  sa akin noong araw. Kaya kung sila ay mawala ngayon, walang bago sa buhay ko,” he said.

“Maraming salamat sa kanila, I wish them all the best and this separates the men from the boys,” he added.

(You know, with all the hardships I've been through, these people we’re not on my side before. So their departure will not affect me. Nothing will change.  I thank them for their support. I wish them the best and this separates the men from the boys.)—Sundy Mae Locus/LDF, GMA News
