50 members of 2 pro-Bongbong groups switch to Isko

Some members of two volunteer groups of presidential candidate Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. have shifted their support to the candidacy of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

A manifesto released by Moreno's camp on Wednesday showed 50 officers of Marcos Pa Rin (MPR) and Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) joining the Visayas for Isko-Sara Alliance (VISA).

“[We] do hereby unanimously endorse and fully support Isko Moreno for president and Sara Duterte for vice president,” the manifesto read.

“Both are top-performing mayors in the city each they represent. Both are Bisaya with a brave and God-fearing heart.”

Moreno’s father is from Antique while his mother is from Allen, Northern Samar.

Sara Duterte, the daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte, is the mayor of Davao City and Marcos' running-mate in the May 9 elections.

“Henceforth, (we) commit ourselves to work together and ensure its victory in the May 9 National and Local Elections,” the manifesto read.

According to the group, VISA is now composed of the MPR, PFP, SIMBA, Partido Pananghiusa, Inisyatiba Makabayang Pagbabago, Isulong Serbisyo sa Katawhan nga Organisado (ISKO) Alang Isko, Ikaw Muna Pilipinas, Ordinaryong Lungsoranon, Task Force Crusaders, Duterte Riders Team, F4, Samar Group for Isko, CIGOTON, Isko Na Bai, Blue Ladies for Isko, and Women for Isko. —Joahna Lei Casilao/KBK, GMA News
