COVID-19 vaccination sites open on Holy Week
Several regions will continue their COVID-19 inoculation drive during Holy Week to further boost the country’s vaccine coverage, the Department of Health (DOH) said.
Here is the running list of COVID-19 vaccination sites open throughout the Holy Week, according to the National Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC):
National Capital Region (NCR)
- Quiapo Church (April 14 to 17)
- All other vaccination sites in Manila (April 17)
- All vaccination sites in Las Piñas (April 17)
Other local government units (LGUs) in NCR will resume vaccination on April 18, DOH said.

DOH said all other LGUs in Region 10 will resume vaccination on April 18.
NVOC chairperson Dr. Myrna Cabotaje said Wednesday they gave directive to the regional offices to continue the inoculation and open the government hospitals for the initiative.
She added the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines has agreed COVID-19 vaccination beside or in parishes and churches. Meanwhile, places of worship during Ramadan or those next to mosques have also allowed the inoculation.
Based on the latest data, 66.7 million Filipinos are already fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Meanwhile, some 12.5 million have received their first booster dose.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted the emergency use authorization (EUA) for second booster shots for the senior citizens, the immunocompromised, and frontline health frontliners.
