Isko greets Leni happy birthday: I know she is in good places
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno wished "all the best" for the 57th birthday of fellow presidential contender Vice President Leni Robredo, who has been the subject of his broadsides the past few days.
I wish her all the best. I know she is in good places," he told reporters in a chance interview on Friday.
Robredo is celebrating her birthday on April 23.
Moreno earlier called on Robredo to make the "supreme sacrifice" and withdraw from the 2022 May polls, saying that she only ran to prevent the Marcos family from returning to Malacañang.
Moreno had also accused the Vice President of being “matapobre” and “a bully," which came after Robredo said she will not engage in bickering with the mayor.
“Hindi naman ako nakikipag-away, eh. I’m just stating the facts na bully sila. Sila matapobre.
Asked for his reaction anew to Robredo's statement that she does not want to fight with the Manila mayor, Moreno said, "Kanina nga lang nagsinungaling na namn sila.
