Philippines gets over 465K doses of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for minors


The Philippines received an additional 465,600 doses of government procured Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for pediatric vaccination on Thursday night.

According to the National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19, the latest batch of vaccine doses arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 past 9 p.m.

Prior to this arrival, the country also received 36,600 doses of the reformulated Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 5 to 11 on Wednesday night.

The NTF said a total of 245,230,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses arrived in the country as of April 28.

The Philippines started its vaccination program in March 2021. -- BAP, GMA News
