Sara Duterte: United Philippines coming 'very soon'

A united Philippines is coming very soon.

This was the remark of vice presidential candidate and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte as she and her running mate, Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., ended their 90-day campaign for Eleksyon 2022 on Saturday.

"UniTeam, we have proven that a united Philippines is coming very very soon. Sama-samang nagkaisa, nakikipaglaban, bumabangon para sa inyong lahat," Duterte told supporters at their miting de avance in Parañaque City.

While she was delivering her speech, the crowd chanted that she already won the vice presidential race. In response, she joked: "Kasi sinabi niyo panalo na ko, nagbarong ako akala ko oathtaking na eh."

The Davao City mayor said the love and support shown by their supporters was extraordinary.

Both Marcos and Duterte, who ran on a platform of national unity, have repeatedly topped surveys. —VBL, GMA News
