Eleksyon 2022 winners in provinces proclaimed


Several local candidates in the provinces were proclaimed after winning their Eleksyon 2022 races, Cedric Castillo reported Tuesday on “24 Oras.”

Cavite

Incumbent Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado was elected representative for the 2nd district.

Her son Ram Revilla was proclaimed a provincial board member.

Ramon Jolo Revilla, on the other hand, was proclaimed as the 1st district representative of Cavite with 101,809 votes.

Bulacan

Atty. Agay Cruz will be the next mayor in the municipality of Guiguinto while Banjo Estrella will occupy the vice mayoral seat.

Similarly, councilors in Malolos City were proclaimed.

Aurora

Incumbent Bangued Vice Mayor Mila Valera will be the next mayor of the municipality.

“We will all serve very well by your Mayor. We will do all our best with our set of teams,” Vallera said.

His grandson, Joaquin Aquino Valero Berjos, will be his vice mayor. Also, eight councilors under Valera were proclaimed.

Baguio City

Mayor Benjamin Magalong was declared the winner of the mayoral elections in the city.

Magalong was proclaimed alongside Vice Mayor Faustino Olowan and Baguio Representative Marquez Go.

Incumbent Cagayan board member Myla Tinke made history as the first woman mayor in Tuguegarao City. Bienvenido de Guzman II will be Tike’s vice mayor.

Ilocos Norte

Michael Marcos Keon was proclaimed mayor of Laog City.

“My emotions are really something else. I never thought it would come to this. And I reiterate my thanks to the people of Laog,” Keon said.

Felipe Antonio Remollo was reelected as the mayor of Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental while Kalandigang Barangay Captain Maysa Sagarbarya will be the vice mayor.

Aklan

Acting Malay Mayor Floribar Bautista was proclaimed winner of the 2022 mayoral race.

The victory gives Bautista his first full term as the local chief executive.

He was vice mayor in 2018 when the Department of the Interior and Local Government appointed him acting mayor after suspending the elected mayor due to several issues.

Misamis Occidental

Further, Henry Indy Oaminal Jr. was proclaimed mayor of Ozamis City, Misamis Occidental, together with Flesia Neri as vice mayor and their city council members. — Mel Matthew Doctor/DVM/BAP/KG, GMA News
