Philippines logs 181 new COVID-19 cases; active tally drops to 3,122
The Philippines on Friday registered 181 new COVID-19 cases even as its active infections went down from 3,177 on Thursday to 3,122, a new record low for 2022.
The nationwide COVID-19 case load has increased 3,687,748.
Among the top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were the National Capital Region (NCR) with 913, followed by Region 4-A with 279 and Region 3 with 228.
The DOH also recorded a total of 3,624,171 individuals recovered from the viral disease.
Meanwhile, the Philippines’ death tally climbed to 60,455
As of May 11, the DOH said at least 5,216 beds were occupied, while 26,096 were vacant as the bed occupancy in the country stood at 16.7%
The Health department also reported a total of 18,848 individuals were tested, while 319 testing labs submitted data as of May 12. -NB, GMA News
