PPCRV says ERs received now at 69.68%
The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) on Tuesday said it has received 75,107 or 69.68% of the election returns (ERs) for their parallel count in this year’s elections.
Based on its latest data, the PPCRV said 75,107 out of 107,785 ERs were received as of Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
At least 45,271 came from the North or South Luzon, followed by the Visayas region with 13,751, National Capital Region (NCR) with 10,033, and Mindanao with 6,052.
The PPCRV said it has yet to receive the ERs from the overseas voting.
The election watchdog earlier recorded a 1.61% mismatch involving some 240 election returns and the transparency media server for the 2022 elections.
Commission on Elections (Comelec) acting spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco explained that the PPCRV had received 45,135 ERs, and had encoded 30,727 ERs. Of this number, 30,235 ERs recorded a 100% match.
Laudiangco said that a possible cause of mismatches may be due to volunteers being tired and not being able to read the numbers clearly. — Richa Noriega/RSJ, GMA News
