Top 12 senatoriables in Comelec's partial tally consistent a day before proclamation


Twelve candidates in the 2022 senatorial race have consistently maintained their lead based on the latest partial and official canvassing results of the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) a day before the proclamation of winners set for Wednesday afternoon.

Sitting as the NBOC, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has already canvassed the certificates of canvass (COCs) for senators and party-list groups from the automated election system, manual overseas voting, local absentee voting, and persons deprived as liberty as of Monday afternoon.

The following are the top 12 senatoriables based on the NBOC’s National Tally Sheet Report Number 6, released on May 16, 2022 at 5:03 p.m., released on Tuesday afternoon:

  • Legarda, Loren, - 24,183,946
  • Tulfo, Raffy - 23,345,261
  • Gatchalian, Sherwin - 20,547,045
  • Escudero, Chiz - 20,240,923
  • Villar, Mark – 19,402,685

  • Zubiri, Juan Miguel – 18,663,253

The Comelec is set to proclaim all the winning senators on Wednesday afternoon, while partial winning party-list groups will be proclaimed on Thursday afternoon. —KG, GMA News
