DOH logs 246 new COVID-19 cases; active tally at 2,258

The Philippines on Saturday registered 246 new COVID-19 cases, taking the nationwide tally to 3,688,751.
Based on the Department of Health's latest report, the country posted 2,258 active cases, with the following regions reporting the highest number of new cases in the past two weeks: the National Capital Region (956), Region 4-A (283), and Region 3 (244).
No new COVID-19 deaths were recorded as recoveries stood at 3,626,038.
As of Friday, 5,185 beds were occupied while 26,027 were vacant, for a bed occupancy rate of 16.6%.
The DOH said 20,876 individuals were tested on Friday, with 314 testing laboratories having submitted data. —VBL, GMA News
