Website for leftist groups hacked

Hackers took down the website for activist groups Sunday night, redirecting visitors to a web page which marked the prank, GMANews.TV learned Monday. Visitors to the Kilusan website were redirected to cyberraider.sitemynet.com, a page which bore the words "Hacked by Cyber-Raider TIM ... Turkey is always here," written prominently in red. A coat of arms displaying the flag of Turkey and the phrase "Cyber Raider TIM" was also on the site. The phrase "Ne için Varsak Onun Ĭçin Ölürüz" was at the bottom of the page. The Kilusan website hosts articles from leftist labor groups allied with the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) and Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU). It also hosts statements from the Confederation for the Unity, Recognition and Advancement of Government Employees (Courage). Bayan members were expected to join church and opposition leaders at an anti-Charter change rally at the Liwasang Bonifacio on June 12, Independence Day. As of Monday mid-morning, however, the Kilusan website posted an image of President Arroyo, backdropped by anti-administration slogans. "We apologize for any inconvenience. The site is under maintenance. Thank you," the website said. Last May 28, internet hackers accessed the website of the exclusive Brent International School Manila in Pasig City and posted a "congratulatory" message to former President Joseph Estrada. "Mabuhay ka, Pareng Erap Estrada!!" the message read. The website's title bar also bore the text, "0wn3d by FPJ," obviously referring to Estrada's close friend, the late actor-politician Fernando Poe Jr.-GMANews.TV
