House resumes session after break for Eleksyon 2022

The House of Representatives on Monday resumed session after its break for the recently concluded national and local elections.

The plenary session resumed at 2 p.m. It was presided over by Deputy Speaker and Sorsogon 1st District Representative Evelina Escudero.

The lower chamber of Congress earlier ensured that it's all systems go for the canvassing of votes for president and vice president in the May 9 elections.

Each chamber is expected to formally create a contingent for the Joint Committee that will do the actual count of votes cast for the president and vice president during the May 9 polls, beginning Tuesday, May 24. —KG, GMA News
