Jun Lozada, brother transferred to Bilibid

NBN-ZTE whistleblower Rodolfo Noel “Jun” Lozada Jr. and his brother Orlando have been transferred to the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) on Friday, according to a report on “24 Oras."

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) processed their turnover past 4 p.m., formally transferring their custody to the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).

The Lozada siblings would be imprisoned for up to ten years at the NBP after they were declared guilty of graft when Jun allegedly awarded over 6.599 hectares of public land to his brother under the Lupang Hinirang Program of the Philippine Forest Corporation (Philforest).

Jun, at the time, was the president of Philforest. He has since denied the allegations.

Further, Jun said he does not regret ‘siding with the truth’ when he exposed the controversial NBN-ZTE deal during the tenure of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.—Sundy Locus/LDF, GMA News
