Marcos, Duterte arrive for VP-elect Sara Duterte’s inauguration

Both President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday arrived at the San Pedro Square in Davao City to witness the inauguration ceremony of Vice President-elect Sara Duterte.

Former President and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, some elected senators under the UniTeam slate, and Davao City local officials are also present at the ongoing ceremony.

Sara on Saturday said her inauguration speech would be short given the unpredictability of the weather.

She said that the speech would “just be [about] rallying the entire country to what we should do and focus on.”

She will be sworn into office as the 15th vice president of the Philippines by Supreme Court Associate Justice Ramon Paul Hernando.

Malacañang earlier urged Filipinos to support Sara in “fulfilling her mandate of delivering genuine change to our beloved country.” — BM, GMA News
