Palace names OICs of DAR, DENR days before Duterte admin ends
Malacañang has designated officers-in-charge of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) just a few days before President Rodrigo Duterte steps down on June 30.
In a statement on Thursday, acting presidential spokesperson Martin Andanar said the Palace designated Undersecretary for Policy, Planning and Research Office David Erro as OIC of DAR.
Undersecretary for Field Operations-Mindanao Joselin Marcus Fragada, meanwhile, was named OIC of the DENR.
Andanar did not address the question of why the Palace made such a decision.
President-elect Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has already picked Abono party-list Representative Conrado Estrella III to be his DAR Secretary.
Marcos has yet to name the next DENR chief. —VBL, GMA News
