Sara Duterte to transfer OVP to Mandaluyong, says source

Vice President Sara Duterte will no longer hold office at the Quezon City Reception House in New Manila, a source has told GMA News.

According to Ian Cruz’s report on “24 Oras”, the source said Duterte would transfer the OVP to a place in Mandaluyong City, a location nearer to the Department of Education where she is the secretary.

The education secretary met DepEd officials on Wednesday and discussed the department's budget for 2022 and the proposed allocations for next year.

The DepEd has the biggest funding in the 2022 national budget, and has the most number of employees with more than one million.

Meanwhile, Attorney Reynold Munsayac, Duterte's spokesperson, said the OVP had started to provide social services, including medical and burial assistance, through its satellite offices. —Richa Noriega/NB, GMA News
